Helping you know more, sooner

Medical imaging has revolutionized the science of diagnosing disease. Today, advanced imaging technologies like multiparametric MRI, PET/CT scans, molecular imaging, and 3D modeling can noninvasively reveal diseased tissue, even at the cellular level, and help assess its aggressiveness. If imaging shows something suspicious, it gives an individualized road map that helps navigate the next steps toward the best treatment plan.

State-of-the-Art Imaging for the whole body; Compassionate care for the whole patient.

Dr. Dan Sperling and colleagues are internationally recognized experts in their fields. Our staff members are experienced and committed to excellence in patient care. Just as important, we want our patients to feel relaxed, comfortable and safe.

We understand the worry that accompanies a prescription for medical scans, so compassion and sensitivity are part of our mission to serve our patients.

Sperling Diagnostic Group GE 3T mpMRI machine
Our state-of-the-art 3T MRI is ultrashort (from front to back) and features an extra wide tunnel. This is often called a “3T open” which is reassuring for patients who suffer from claustrophobia.

The table can be wheeled completely out of the machine so we can best position patients. Our 3T magnet produces very high resolution images with shorter scan times. Unlike lower field strength magnets, ours can provide advanced scanning techniques.

It also features loudness reducing technology for a quieter, more peaceful patient experience.

The most advanced MRI system anywhere, ever.

Sperling Diagnostic Group is one of just a few U.S. centers equipped with the latest generation of MRI equipment. Our center proudly boasts a state-of-the-art 3T Magnet with specialized features that shorten scan time, increase patient physical and psychological comfort, reduce loudness, and can be tailored for:

  • Brain and other neurological imaging
  • Spine
  • Whole-body imaging
  • Cardiac
  • MR angiography – cardiovascular and stroke
  • Abdominal
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Male pelvis – prostate, lymph nodes, bladder, urethra, rectal and other internal structures. NOTE – Our MRI does not require an endorectal coil for prostate or other pelvic imaging
  • Female pelvis – vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries, lymph nodes, urethra, bladder, pelvic floor evaluation, rectal and other internal structures

Advanced diagnostic steps following imaging may include:

» Image-guided minimally invasive biopsies to sample suspicious areas using the minimum number of needles

» Advanced laboratory analysis of the tissue samples and, if indicated, molecular or genomic investigation into the aggression level of the cell line

» Additional biomarker tests based on blood or urine samples

» Additional body scans to rule out the spread of disease to other areas

» Integration of all findings based on imaging and lab results
